George Peppard (October 1, 1928 - May 8, 1994) was an American film and television actor. His virtually all notable role early around his career occurred once he starred alongside Audrey Hepburn in ''Breakfast at Tiffany's (1961), although he is probably more familiar among younger viewers for his role as Col. John "Hannibal" Smith in the cult 1980s television show The A-Team'', where he is the cigar-smoking leader of a rebel commando squadron.

Biography
Peppard was natural inside Detroit, Michigan, as the boy of an opera singer and the building contractor. He graduated from either Dearborn High School within Dearborn, Michigan. He attended Purdue University (where he was researching Civil Engineering) and Carnegie Mellon University.

George Peppard besides attended The Actor's Studio, where one of his classmates was Rip Torn.

Peppard as well served in the United States Marine Corps.

Prior to The A-Team, Peppard experienced a leading role in the TV series Banacek (1972 - 1974), (part of the NBC Mystery Movie series of the 1970s), and played within ''Doctor's Hospital'', in 1975, and in several other television films, which became in the later part of his career his major dedication.

Married Quintuplet days, & a father of threesome toddlers, Peppard's 2nd married woman was actress Elizabeth Ashley, his co-star in The Carpetbaggers.

He was the convalescent alcoholic, who spent his down the road years trying to serve others in the equivalent situation.

Fallowing existence diagnosed using lung cancer in 1992, he had the share of a lung flushed. He died of pneumonia on May 8, 1994, at the age of 66 around Los Angeles, due to complications in the treatment of the cancer.
